Review of the 2010 Annual Conference - In Search of Hidden Treasures
Review by AA Member John Green

Speakers and delegates responded most imaginatively to this year’s theme, revealing just how wide, sensitive and profound a language and discipline astrology can be. Between Melanie Reinhart’s Conference Opening, exploring Orcus, and Tad Mann’s closing, placing Chaos Theory and DNA strings with astrology charts, a wonderful wealth of profound insights abounded. ISAR’s Gisele Terry taught us of the deep insight that comes from listening to clients.
Deborah Houlding’s Carter Memorial Lecture included a most salutary warning concerning the sensitivity and subtlety that may be lost amidst all the gains to astrology offered by modern computing. Deborah was also the worthy winner of this year’s Charles Harvey Award for Exceptional Service to Astrology.
Thanks to Barry and Rita for a most comprehensive bookshop; Richard and Elly for their devotion to the recordings; the Council and volunteer team, who combined so well to make it all possible; and to all who donated to the raffle and silent auction.
As always, our time together was lightened and enhanced by engaging conversation between sessions, and then the Saturday night celebrations when many people came dressed as their chart. After more sharing and dancing, nearly everyone rose next morning still ready for another day packed with wisdom. Then home with all those treasures to share them ever further afield.
