March/April 2009
We've Pam Crane, Val Dobson and the AA forum to thank for the idea for this issue's reviews. Although I already knew of some Blogs their mention of Blogs on the forum prompted me to go off exploring for more. It didn't take long to explore because the Internet is full of Blogs (contraction of the term "Web log"), some good, some bad and some indifferent
So what is a Blog? According to Blogger* "A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.
Your blog is whatever you want it to be. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules."

You'll find that there are many astrologers now who use Blogs to make astrological comment, either on current events, astrology in general or a more personal view of astrology. In fact there are so many that this is a subject that shall no doubt be returned to in future issues. Having the short attention span of a Gemini I have to say I prefer Blogs that are not too wordy and are also informative and interesting. It helps if they have a unique slant. I'm turned off by Blogs that contain pop-up advertising and so any that have pop-ups will be unlikely to be reviewed. Most, but not all, blogs are interactive in that readers can leave comments regarding the entry they have just read and sometimes even indulge in an online conversation, this also appeals to the Gemini in me
Sue Ward's Blog
As you would expect Sue's Blog takes a traditional predictive approach to astrology. Here, Sue shares her thoughts on traditional astrology as well as writing astrological comment on current affairs. This is a well-written and easy to read Blog that is both informative and interesting.

Neithnet
The 21st Century Knitting Circle . . ." Yes it was that sub-title that drew me in and yes I thoroughly enjoy reading this Blog. As well as astrology the author relates what's happening in the skies back to her own chart. This, in my opinion, adds a nice personal touch

Elsa Elsa
No article about Blogs is complete with out a mention of ElsaElsa whose Blog gets mentioned almost everywhere you look. Possibly this is because Elsa has been blogging since 2005 and as such has managed to bring astrology to the wider community. Elsa blogs daily, sometimes a full-length article and others just a snippet. She blogs on real life situations with added commentary. Check her Blog out
